When my mom and I went to visit Innisfree in
the spring of 1981, I found the exact puppy that I was hoping for. Kori fit the image I had in my head ...gray and white,
soundly built with some leg under her so that she could run
in harness, lovely movement, unflappable temperament, not too heavily coated,-- perfect for us. She was actually my parents' wedding present to me
(Thanks again, Mom and Dad!) and
she was
me and my husband's first "child". Over the years, she successfully filled many
roles for us - our first successful show dog, sled dog (lead), broodbitch,
housedog, RV-dog and yes, even (unwilling) trick dog! But most of all, she was a
very dear companion and friend. Many thanks to Kathleen Kanzler and Ruth McCord
for breeding the very dog we were looking for! |
